Job Summary

As a senior business systems analyst in the Academic Information Systems web application development team, this position is responsible for leading complex, custom web-based application development projects to support the School of Medicine and the School of Nursing. Key job functions include: gathering requirements for brand new web-based applications from SMEs, writing detailed functional/technical specifications for use by the development team, conducting pre-production and UAT testing as well as handling the ongoing customer support for production applications. This position will work in collaboration with the Director of Educational Technology, Development Manager, Supervisor for Business Systems Analysts and the development team to ensure requirements documents are accurate, detailed and specific enough for the development team to code to and that all projects are meeting appropriate milestones and deadlines. The position will also interact with the stakeholders for demonstration of the developed products and function as the liaison between the development team and the customer/stakeholders for future enhancements.

This position is hybrid and requires two days per week in the office in Sacramento, CA.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Extensive experience as business or systems analyst participating in large scale IT projects. Experience as a lead analyst/tester on large scale IT projects. Experience with supporting/developing web based application applications. Extensive project leadership and advanced analysis experience.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of experience or 7-10 years of relevant work experience highly preferred Academic institution or large integrated healthcare facility experience preferred Relevant business analysis certification preferred

AIS specializes in developing web-based applications tailored to meet the specific administrative needs of the academic departments within the School of Medicine. These applications could include student management systems, research databases, scheduling tools, or any other software solutions essential for the smooth functioning of academic operations.
