Quality Technician II: Magnetic Particle Inspector

<strong>Summary </strong>In this critical role, you will ensure the quality and integrity of our large and small bearings using magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and other non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques. You will work closely with other inspectors, machinists, and assemblers to identify and address potential defects, ensuring our bearings meet the highest quality standards.<br> <br> <strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities </strong>include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.<br> <ul> <li>Conduct magnetic particle inspections on large and small, machined components and assemblies to detect surface and subsurface discontinuities.</li> <li>Prepare surfaces for MPI according to established procedures.</li> <li>Interpret MPI results and document findings accurately.</li> <li>Measure surface finish, roundness, crown, and dimensions using precision tools and equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.)</li> <li>Compare measurements to specifications and identify any discrepancies.</li> <li>Maintain inspection records and generate reports.</li> <li>Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes.</li> <li>Perform other quality control duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <strong>Education/Experience/Qualifications</strong> <br> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li> <li>Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment performing magnetic particle inspections.</li> <li>Prior experience in a large and small-bearing manufacturing environment a plus.</li> <li>Familiarity with other NDT techniques (e.g., dye penetrant inspection) preferred.</li> <li>Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and inspection procedures.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints.</li> <li>Excellent math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, percents).</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.</li> </ul> <strong>Physical Requirements</strong>:<br> <ul> <li>Must possess good close vision, color vision, and depth perception.</li> <li>Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift for extended periodsOperates welding equipment to cut or weld parts (Mig, Tig, gas, stick, brazing).</li> </ul> <strong>Education and/or Experience: </strong> <br> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)</li> <li>Associate degree (A.
