Quality Inspector

Position Summary
This position is responsible for completing, but not limited to, lot control (when required) and quality inspections, paperwork and maintaining a filing system for this paperwork. The position may also perform incoming inspection, product and process audits on material. The QC Inspector will assist with calibration plus final inspection and acceptance for in plant processes. This inspector may also be requested at times to provide coverage in other locations/divisions than currently assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Record lot traceability information and maintain lot traceability database.
  • Conduct inspections – incoming inspections, PDS inspections
  • Product audits and final product quality inspections.
  • RGA support
  • Ensure/Assist with calibration of equipment
  • Participates in the Internal Audit Program
  • Operates all equipment in a safe and professional manner, while completing tasks on a timely basis.
  • Understand the DWK Quality Policy and relevant Quality Objectives.
  • Recognize his/her contribution to the effectiveness of the OPS including the benefits of improved performance.
  • Observe all safety precautions, rules and regulations and maintains work area in a clean and safe manner.
  • Works within the guidelines of ISO and EHS.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • One (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • One (1) year of prior quality experience preferred
  • Computer literate. SAP knowledge a plus.

Work will take place in an office and warehouse environment. Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call on occasion. The employee may encounter controlled air conditions with frequent air changes, environmental exposure.
