This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in Java and Oracle, experience in managing both contractors and full-time employees, and a deep understanding of modern software development practices.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Lead and manage a team of up to 20 QA professionals, including both SDETs and manual testers.</li><li>Oversee the entire QA process for our Java and Oracle-based applications, ensuring high-quality standards are met.</li><li>Implement and enhance testing strategies, tools, and frameworks, with a focus on UI, API, and performance testing.</li><li>Evaluate and select appropriate tools for automated testing, ensuring the team is equipped with the best resources.</li><li>Collaborate closely with development teams to understand how applications are built and ensure thorough testing of distributed technologies.</li><li>Manage test data, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to complex testing challenges.</li><li>Influence and mentor the QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.</li><li>Ensure effective communication and collaboration with functional operations teams throughout the organization.</li></ul><br><strong>Must-Have Skills/Qualifications:</strong><br><ul><li>Strong proficiency in Java and Oracle.</li><li>Experience with Angular UI.</li><li>Proven ability to manage a team of 15+ people</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a QA environment.</li><li>Hands-on experience with UI testing, API testing, performance testing, and test data management.</li><li>In-depth understanding of how software is built, including distributed technologies and monolithic applications.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address and resolve complex issues.</li></ul><br><strong>Technologies/Tools:</strong><br><ul><li>Java and Oracle</li><li>Angular UI</li><li>Various testing tools for UI, API, and performance testing</li></ul><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br><ul><li>Experience in the dental or healthcare insurance industry is a plus.</li><li>Strong leadership and mentoring skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul>
