Python UI Engineer

ECS is seeking a <b>Python UI Engineer </b>to work <b>remote</b>.<br> <br> <b>Job Description:</b> <br> <br>ECS is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Python UI engineer. The UI engineer will work with an inter-departmental agile team to add features to a canonical controlled vocabulary (CCV) tool (written in python/nginx using a Neo4J database) that provides administrators the ability to upload proposed terms, and uses NLP to facilitate the governance of terms in the vocabulary, including identifying overlap, conflict and uniqueness of terms entering into and existing in the vocabulary. <br> <br>Responsibilities:<br> <ul> <li>Add management features to the tool such as reports, search, data ingestion, governance processes facilitation, edit, and data quality alerts.</li> <li>Add a simple and advanced search feature to the tool.</li> <li>Add functionality to support multi-lingual labels to terms.</li> <li>Add functionality to support linking labels to tags.</li> <li>Add reporting functionality.</li> <li>Add graph display for search results (python d3graph).</li> </ul> <br>Salary Range: $165,000 - $155,000.00<br> <br>General Description of Benefits<br> <br> <b>Required Skills:</b> <br> <ul> <li> <strong>US Citizenship.</strong></li> <li> <strong>Ability to gain DHS Public Trust.</strong></li> <li> <strong>Bachelor's degree.</strong></li> <li>7+ years experience using Python in a production environment.</li> <li>Experience developing Python front end(s) with Flask/nginx type stack(s).</li> <li>Experience working with graph database(s).</li> </ul> <br> <b>Desired Skills:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Experience working with Neo4j graph database (and cyperQuery).</li> <li>Experience working with semantic term sets.</li> <li>Understanding of the role of Ontology or taxonomies in data normalization.</li> </ul> <br>ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, genetic information, registered domestic partner status, marital status, status as a crime victim, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
