Job Description Summary:
Responsible for meeting the exercise and fitness needs and expectations of the fitness and specialty programs participants. Responsible for developing exercise prescriptions for facility and home activity, providing individualized fitness intervention(s) and evaluating and updating accordingly. Accountable for achieving optimal outcomes of customer service related to the prevention and fitness programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Required)ACSM - American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer - American College of Sports MedicineAmerican College of Sports MedicineAmerican College of Sports Medicine, BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart AssociationAmerican Heart AssociationAmerican Heart Association
Field of Study: exercise physiology or related field with minimum one year work Experience (not including internship) or an Field of study in Exercise science with a Field of Study: an unrelated field with minimum one year work Experience (not including internship). ACSM Certification (or obtain within first year of employment). BLS or CPR Certification . Knowledge of CVD risk factors, exercise physiology, pathophysiology, and adult learning principles. Knowledge of CVD risk factors. One year employment in fitness setting.
