<b>Physician - Psychiatrist - FT Adult and Pediatric Outpatient</b> <br> <br>General Psychiatrist Responsibilities:<br> <ul> <li>Consult directly on patients referred by Primary Care for behavioral health needs of the individual and coordinating care with counseling and medication management for the individual.</li> <li>Documenting and assessing a patient's history, performing tests as indicated, reviewing diagnosis, and devising plan for comprehensive mental health treatment of the individual including patient education and necessary follow ups.</li> <li>Collaborating with the primary care team, other medical and non-medical personnel, and a substance abuse team and behavioral health team. </li> <li>Ensuring coordination and appropriate referrals for patient care and access across services.</li> <li>Supervising Clinic APP(s) and Social Workers in clinic services as may be determined.</li> <li>Participating in case conferences, peer reviews, and department meetings and other MVH system wide initiatives in collaboration with the Medical Director.</li></ul> <br> <br> <b>Qualifications</b> <br> General Psychiatry Requirements:<br> <br>&bull; A Medical Degree and the successful completion of a residency in psychiatry.<br> <br>&bull; Board certified/eligible and state license.<br> <br>&bull; Current experience practicing Psychiatry within 2 years; preferably in a community setting<br> <br>&bull; The ability to keep updated on the latest medical technologies.<br> <br>&bull; Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.<br> <br>&bull; Good communication and interpersonal skills.<br> <br>&bull; Good teamworking, leadership, and organizational skills.<br> <br> <b>EEO Statement</b> <br> Martha's Vineyard Hospital and Windemere Nursing & Rehabilitation Center are Equal Opportunity Employers.
