We are looking for a motivated, energetic, and highly organized Associate Buyer to join our Supply Chain team in support of R&D purchasing and production order tracking. In this role, you will work closely with Global Supply Managers and Engineers to ensure timely delivery of parts for R&D projects, tracking and improving on logistics timelines, and managing cost. This role will require you to build relationships across the organization as well as with both global and local vendors.
What you'll do:
  • Purchasing Support: Generate POs and place orders for custom mechanical parts for both specialized R&D projects as well as day to day operations
  • Spend Management & Supplier Relationship Management : Own spend management and initiate cost reduction efforts for custom mechanical parts; Identify cost savings opportunities by developing supplier relationships for general materials across various systems
  • Order management: Follow up on delivery timelines for local and international shipments to maintain material arrival for on-time production.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Support with document and PO management and updating; Provide transparent progress reporting through organized record keeping
What you'll bring:
  • Proficiency with using Excel to organize and analyze data with attention to detail
  • Exceptional time-management skills and ability to prioritize and multitask
  • 2 years of professional experience in purchasing, operations, or supply chain
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to to approach challenges and urgent requests with a creative, problem-solving mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, or related field preferred
