SUMMRY

Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of complex program elements on behalf of Systems of Care (SOC) or the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assures compliance with contractual agencies or legal requirements of program
  • Works as liaison with community agencies and referral sources, representing Red Rock BHS and initiating strong cooperative linkage with possible resources; serves on outside committees when feasible
  • Maintains safe environment for clients and co-workers by constant follow-up and communication with all agencies involved with treatment or service to client
  • Attends community and special disposition meetings as required
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS)Maintains core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implementing skills into all aspects of treatment
  • Attends staff meetings, workshops, and seminars to learn agency policy, rules, regulations, and procedures; participates in on-going in-service training as well as pertinent external training
  • Acts as role model in interpersonal relationships with staff and/or clients
  • Assists in the development and implementation of programmatic goals and objective
  • Supports and assists with the facilitation of Care Plans for consumers within the Red Rock Health Team
  • Supervises staff, makes recommendations concerning pay increases, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, hiring and firing; defines workloads with attention given to setting priorities and monitoring progress
  • Oversees, manages, and maintains a balanced budget for the Red Rock BHS site, in connection with the Director of Youth Health Team/SOC
  • Monitors ongoing program development by assessing clients’ needs and referral sources; evaluates program effectiveness, reviewing statistical data, caseloads, and staff performance
  • Completes and assures completion by staff of all necessary paperwork, progress notes, special reports, and statistical data; meets quality management requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least one year experience in the Mental Health field
  • Experience working with community resources
  • Excellent verbal written communication skills
  • Experience working with low income and minority clients with understanding of cultural diversity
  • Must complete all in-service training requirements as well as special certification, or external training
  • Driver’s License, transportation with current insurance verification and ability to travel extensively throughout covered area
  • Must work a flexible schedule
  • Commitment to the mission of Red Rock BHS
  • Two years of direct experience in Mental Health field preferred
  • One year of direct experience in Systems of Care preferred
  • Behavioral Health Case Management Certification preferred
  • ODMHSAS Wrap 101 Training preferred
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred
