TITLE: Programmer I

POSITION OBJECTIVE: This person's primary responsibility is programming, coding, troubleshooting, and optimizing in house software. Secondary responsibilities include TFS maintenance, SQL Server maintenance, and software/system upgrades. Other responsibilities are providing technical support, troubleshooting, diagnosing PC hardware/software, network connectivity/VLANs, user/AD maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum requirements are three (3) years' experience as Programmer/Analyst
  • Some technical training/college is preferred and may substitute for up to two (2) years' experience
  • Must be proficient in .Net, VB, ASP, C#, SQL as well as MS Office and Windows
  • Must be familiar with WAN / LAN / VLAN / VPN
  • Able to effectively document software and procedures
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
  • Minimum travel is required
  • Requires the answering of daily troubleshooting calls during normal work hours and some night and weekend "on-call" time as well as supporting IT functions at other plants
  • Requires the ability to understand the rapidly changing technical environments of the information field.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coding, troubleshooting, and optimizing in-house software
  • MySQL server maintenance and optimization
  • Windows and Linux server administration
  • Virtual Box setup and maintenance
  • Network configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Shoretel IP-Phone software and hardware maintenance
  • Daily production data analysis
  • Diagnosing and correcting network problems
  • Troubleshooting personal computer problems
  • Providing end user support including Versa software, PC trouble issues, and network problems
  • Setup / maintain user accounts
  • Restoring lost or corrupted files and maintain file level security on the network
  • Logging support calls and daily tasks
  • Maintaining asset data base of all hardware and its current configurations
  • Informing IT Manager in a timely manner of IT related issues
  • Programming as directed by the IT Manager
  • Special projects as directed by the IT Manager
  • Complies with all SQF procedures
  • Reports any food safety problems to a member of management or SQF Practitioner

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

  • Manufacturing environment
  • Hot and Cold temperatures
  • Loud noises
