Our CABLE TECHNICAL TRAINING COORDINATOR is a non-exempt/hourly role, on site daily, Monday-Friday day shift, working closely within our Quality team to improve and document production processes.<strong> Starting pay $22-26/hour depending on years of experience in a similar role.</strong></p><p><strong>Summary/Objective:</strong> The Cable Technical Training Coordinator will be responsible for documenting technical manufacturing training materials for Associates in Wilsonville and Costa Rica, updating training content, manuals, multimedia, visual aids, and other educational materials such that they reflect current Manufacturing practices. Responsibilities also include coordinating training efforts including assigning training, administrating tests, coordinating hands on testing, evaluating performance, etc., all in an effort to understand and continuously improve overall training effectiveness. This position requires influence and collaboration with managers, supervisors, hub leaders, operators, engineers, and Global Learning and Development, and the associated departments within the Costa Rica Cable facility.</p><p><br /><strong>Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:</strong><br />1. Primary responsibility is to work with Engineers/Technical leaders to create or update documentation to capture and reflect current manufacturing processes and/or procedures in simple, easy to understand language.<br />2. Training materials must follow Corporate Templates such as Work Instructions, Visual Aids, Manuals, Single Point Lessons, Training Power Points, Boundary documents, etc.<br />3. Will also use videos to convey key technical information, processes, procedures. Video documentation will include filming, editing, and controlling videos such that they fall in line with corporate practices.<br />4. Assigns training via Cornerstone for New hires, or when substantial or important changes are made to a key Technical documents, or when additional training is requested from Supervisors, Managers as employee roles change/expand.<br />5. Evaluates Associate performance and understanding of technical process using Cornerstone testing, hands on testing, input from Associate and shares evaluation appropriately with OPS and QA leaders.<br />6. Supports Production Management in maintaining training matrix based on both hands on training and associated training materials for specific work centers, tasks, etc..<br />7. Must have ability to keep employee information confidential.<br />The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities</p><p><strong>Required Experience:</strong><br />1. 3+ years experience in Technical Training. Operations or Engineering Background is preferred.<br />2. Must have very good communication skills with experience in speaking in front of groups.<br />3. Must have proven ability to translate technical content into easily understood sentences in work related documents.<br />4. Experience with selecting and using training or instructional methods appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.<br />5. Thorough understanding and skill to use MS Office suite including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiently.<br />6. Proficient with utilizing audio/visual equipment, video camera and video editing software.<br />7. Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.<br />8.
