Production Supervisor - Manufacturing

RBC - Aircraft Products Inc. is searching for a motivated individual to supervise hourly individuals working on the production floor.<br> <br> <strong>Principal Responsibilities</strong> <br> <br>Directly supervises the hourly employees, plans and assigns work and schedules hours of work to assure production is completed on a timely basis and meets customer quality requirements.<br> <li>Monitors production on a routine basis, determining if any changes in methods or procedures are necessary to increase efficiency and productivity.</li> <li>Closely supervises production runs to determine that methods and tooling are accomplishing production and quality objectives are being met.</li> <li>Reviews capacity planning versus production schedules to identify and address production bottlenecks.</li> <li>Monitors condition of production equipment to make sure equipment is running optimally and if needed, coordinates with Maintenance or Engineering to make sure equipment is brought back to acceptable condition.</li> <li>Inspects quality on a spot check basis to assure product conforms to print and quality expectations. Responsible for corrective actions in overseen area.</li> <li>Resolves problems as they arise.</li> <li>Interfaces with other disciplines, ie Quality, Engineering, Production Control, Maintenance via meetings as a participant or leader, etc to address issues in the plant.</li> <li>Closely monitors earned hours, efficiencies and overtime.</li> <li>Maintains a positive relationship with all employees and encourages teamwork within and outside department.</li> <li>Monitors employee attendance and tardiness to minimize absenteeism.</li> <li>Interviews and selects candidates for hire into the department.</li> <li>Trains new hires and those newly assigned to their department in all relevant quality procedures and work instructions. Cross trains employees for most optimum and flexible production coverage.</li> <li>Performs employee performance reviews to identify weaknesses and promote individual improvement.</li> <li>Assures work area is kept in an orderly fashion.</li> <li>Assures work area meets all environmental regulations and reports any discrepancies to Facility Manager.</li> <li>Reports workplace injuries in a timely manner.</li> <li>Monitors labor and time reporting via computer systems.</li> <li>Reviews employee requests for vacation and approves or declines.</li> <li>Recommends disciplinary action for all employees within direct responsibility.</li> <li>Assure all employees adhere to safe work practices and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.</li> <br> <strong>Qualifications</strong> <br> <br>Two years of technical schooling or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment or any combination of experience, education and training which would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.<br> <br> <strong>Knowledge, Skill &amp; Ability</strong> <br> <li>Able to communicate to all levels of employees to assure understanding of work assignments</li> <li>Leadership skills to effectively manage/motivate the workforce</li> <li>Manufacturing processes</li> <li>Quality requirements</li> <li>Blueprint reading</li> <li>Understanding of labor and time reporting systems</li> <li>Basic computer skills</li><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjY0OTY3LjEyNTI0QHJiY2NvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif">
