<ul><li>This contract Process Development Scientist/Engineer position is in the Process Development and Technology department.</li><li>The selected candidate will be responsible for study execution at bench-scale and pilot-scale related to manufacturing support and process transfer projects.</li><li>Responsibilities include cGMP documentation, data review, and writing technical documents.</li><li>The incumbent will be expected to work effectively under general supervision and contribute to the team effort to support R&D projects.</li></ul><br><strong>Roles & Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>The individual will perform protein purification techniques including but not limited to precipitation, chromatography, ultrafiltration/diafiltration, and filtration.</li><li>The candidate will perform accurate technical/cGXP documentation of activities and analyze / interpret analytical results.</li><li>The candidate will need strong technical writing skill to author study protocols and reports.</li></ul><br><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong><br><ul><li>Self-starter with strong work ethic and the ability to exercise good judgment.</li><li>Ability to work well both independently and under direct supervision with demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks to meet targeted deadlines.</li><li>Must be proactive, results oriented, and have strong attention to detail.</li><li>Experience identifying and solving technical problem.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment.</li><li>Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).</li><li>The candidate must have experience in protein purification techniques at bench-scale and/or pilot scale processes.</li><li>Degree must be within a relevant field: (Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Biology) Bachelors or Masters degree with 1 to 5 years of relevant experience. Directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements.</li><li>Work is performed in a laboratory and pilot-sale production environment.</li><li>Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.</li><li>Exposure to electrical office equipment.</li><li>Exposure to chemicals.</li><li>Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.</li><li>Frequently sits and bends neck for 4-6 hours per day.</li><li>May stand and twist neck for 2-4 hours per day. Occasionally walks, bends and twists waist and squats.</li><li>Moderate lifting of 25-50 lbs. May reach above and below shoulder height.</li></ul>
