<strong>Job Responsibilities</strong><br><ul><li>Conduct research and provide design of new processes to meet customer expectations</li><li>Establish safety features for the manufacturing processes and methods</li><li>Develops drawings and specs to define materials, machines, tools, and jigs for the manufacturing processes</li><li>Provides cost analysis and quotes for new or additional manufacturing processes</li><li>Develops timeline charts to communicate and track process implementation progress</li><li>Follows CPC process, forecast and control budget, and aid in the capitalization process</li><li>Specifies equipment characteristics, layout, process flow, cycle time and automation level for processes</li><li>Works with other functional areas to prepare the facility to sustain process operation</li><li>Assists in the assembly of/and equipment preparation, readiness / installation</li><li>Implements the necessary countermeasures to poka-yokes process</li><li>If required, provides support to equipment calibration / verification</li><li>Confirms that process implementation is capable, reliable, sustainable, and efficient within operational targets</li><li>Performs risk analysis to assure process continuity throughout the life of the product</li><li>Recommend and assist in creation of spare parts lists, effective set-up, and maintenance procedures</li><li>Participates in the troubleshooting of problems associated with the manufacturing process</li><li>Execute manufacturing process trials to train and proof process feasibility to meet targets.</li><li>Provides / Supports APAQP process documentation as required (Rev 0)</li><li>Support internal and external audits</li><li>Support manufacturing improvement Kaizen teams, and supplier development tasks as necessary</li><li>Work daily/weekend overtime when directed by immediate supervisor or, as necessary, to complete essential job duties. Changes shift due equipment availability scheduling</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to achieve departmental objectives provided.</li></ul><br><strong>Job Qualifications</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics if possible)</li><li>3-5 years of experience, hands-on work with manufacturing assembly equipment</li><li>Experience working for a tier one supplier, prefers that the candidate does not come from an OEM</li><li>Previous experience with supplier negotiation, not afraid to communicate with higher levels of administration</li><li>Program management experience</li><li>Proficient with industrial controls and sensors, vision systems, automation, robotics, PLC, CNC controls, Tooling machine tool processes and fixture design</li><li>Proven proficiency with GD&T</li><li>Experienced with automated, semi-automated, and manual automotive assembly equipment and cell design with Lean Manufacturing approach, JIT, or equivalent</li><li>Creativity to implement immediate, simple and effective solutions to (arising or chronic issues) / (problems)</li><li>Knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems</li></ul><br>Reliance One, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.<br><br>This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
