What you'll be doing:

  • Creates and communicates design/test plans, tasks, deliverables, and status. Manages time and resources to meet committed schedule milestones.

  • Defines appropriate test methods to verify designs meet their performance requirements.

  • Identify the product certification requirements and standards as per country requirements and its differences.

  • Contributions on the EMC requirement with the Standards and assess their impact on the baseline design as it develops.

  • Perform Pre-compliance testing, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting of a wide range of EMI and RF problems.

  • Carry out product certification testing in accordance with international standards and country regulations.

  • Analyze simulation and field-testing results and provide recommendations for mitigation of any issues.

  • Analyze the Technical reports in accordance with the standards

  • Contributes to product development and supports technical reviews representing the compliance design margins to EMC requirements.

  • Supporting design team in Performing Root Cause Analysis for design and product failures related to EMI/EMC/ESD issues.

  • Developing the EMC/EMI equipment needs, maintenance, and calibration and the implementation in the EMI Test procedure to align with EMC/EMI standards and cutting edge technology of certification house, e.g., UL.

  • Able to understand the circuit simulation and electromagnetic modeling software tools and possess a fundamental understanding of EMI test methodologies and equipment ranging from but not limited to spectrum analyzers, receivers, oscilloscopes, amplifiers, current probes, and power supplies.

  • Developing and authoring EMC plan, test protocols, and overlooking execution of these plans at in-house lab and third-party accredited test house.

  • Supporting reliability engineering team with design of test fixture and test plan after receiving in-house training on developing reliability plan and requirements., especially for electronics and electrical assemblies, including system level reliability testing.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineeringwith 5+ years of experience or Masters with 3+ years

  • Experience applying electromagnetic engineering skills to enable the logical and systematic conversion of customer needs into total systems derived and solutions

  • Experience in EMC Design Reviews, and system level design reviews for improving EMI/EMC performance of products.

  • Hands on experience in conducting EMI/EMC/ESD test as per IEC 60601-1, CISPR, ISO, FCC standards.

  • Knowledge in existing wireless communication protocols & testing: LTE/WCDMA/GSM, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, 802.11ad/ay or Bluetooth/BLE is an added advantage.

  • Working knowledge and conversant with / or equivalent and applicable test methods

  • Knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) theory

Other Desired Skills:

  • MATLAB, Python, Excel, LabView

  • Advanced Electromagnetic Capability (EMC) test equipment

  • Basic statistics knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of Test fixture design and specifications

  • Basic knowledge of Calibration of EMI/EMC testing equipment from various manufacturers

The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 to $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
