How You'll Make an Impact: An esteemed company is seeking a Portable X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings, such as nursing homes, residential homes, and correctional institutions. The role involves maintaining patient care, image quality, and operational efficiency, as well as training other X-Ray Technologists. What You'll Do:

  • Travel to different locations to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams
  • Follow company policies and procedures for diagnostic imaging exams
  • Collect and verify order documentation and patient information
  • Prepare and position patients for exams
  • Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient's bedside or other designated exam settings
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient criteria
  • Demonstrate safe work practices, including radiation safety and infection control
  • Process, review, and transmit images in a timely manner
  • Complete all required forms and maintain records
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
  • Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving of equipment
  • Ensure vehicle is well stocked with necessary supplies
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal rules and regulations
  • Assist with order taking, validation of studies, and customer support functions
  • Act professionally and exhibit a positive attitude when interacting with others
  • Follow company policies and guidelines
  • Perform work safely and demonstrate proficiency in using digital x-ray technology

What You Need:

  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R) or Limited Scope X-ray Operator
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to move equipment up to 50 pounds and walk up and down stairs with equipment
  • Willingness to work varied schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
