The registered polysomnographic technologist performs comprehensive sleep study testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general supervision of the Team Leader (RPSGT), manager, and/or clinical director (MD) or designee. A registered poly tech can provide supervision to a trainee or student. Must become registered through the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists. (RPSGT). Training for certification 100% paid for through Guild for qualified candidates. CPR certification required. Preferred - 6 months experience performing sleep studies, with documented proficiencies in all required competencies. Knowledge of Nihon Kohden Sleep System helpful but not required. EDUCATION: High school graduate required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: Recent experience in a Sleep Lab recommended.
