Health and Preventive Medicine Officer

Caring for the health of our community is a top priority. As a Health and Preventive Medicine Officer, you will apply public health, preventive medicine, and medical entomology knowledge to promote health and reduce the incidence of communicable diseases, occupational and environmental illnesses, and food-borne diseases. This role involves monitoring health conditions and potential threats, as well as promoting public health through epidemiological surveillance and food safety practices.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or Master of Public Health degree (MPH/MSPH) from accredited institutions
  • Knowledge of basic epidemiology, microbiology, food technology and hygiene, communicable diseases, occupational and environmental health, and medical entomology
  • Completion of officer training school
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and have not reached your 42nd birthday
