Certification/Endorsement Requirements:
  • Master of Science in Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, and must hold a current Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse License with specialized educational and clinical training in family practice; Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse
  • Or completion of a Master's level Physician Assistant Program, with current licensure in Illinois
  • CPR Certification (or willing to obtain within six months of hire)
Job Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain collaborative professional working relationship/agreement
  • with medical director
  • • Ability to work independently and in conjunction with healthcare team in the delivery of care to patients in a clinic setting (examinations, medical history, diagnostic screening, provide education, prescribe medication, etc.)
  • Assess the nature and extent of problems and adequately manages services within the total healthcare plan for students (preventive, first aid, acute, chronic issues), and address anticipatory guidance, lifestyle and development issues per scope of practice
  • Ability to use Electronic Health Record and other computer applications as warranted to promote the daily operation of the Health Clinic in meeting defined goals/objectives
  • Maintain courteous relationships and demonstrate positive interactions with clients, peers, and all community stakeholders; ability maintain patient confidentiality and privacy with regard to sensitive topics/issues
  • Collaboration facilitating services in alignment with promoting positive operation of the Health Clinic, ensuring that goals and objectives are fulfilled (including referrals & follow-up); provides assistance in the development of operating procedures/protocols, modifications, and/or proposals (as warranted) in agreement with IDPH and regulatory standard requirements
  • Provide support and education to patients and staff as deemed appropriate
  • Perform all other duties or tasks within scope of practice, as assigned
