Job Summary and Qualifications

The Coordinator of Community Outreach and Volunteer Program is responsible for day to day operations; budget, staff and regulatory requirements; collaborates with Leadership team and other department directors and committees; collaborates very closely with Business Development and Patient Experience leaders; develops and maintains policies and procedures for departments and responsible to communicate house-wide policies to staff; is also responsible for long range planning and development of future programs.

This position coordinates functions with Physicians and other departments for best management of patients, tracking of outcomes and managing data. Must have specialized or technical knowledge with an emphasis in Cardiac Rehab and wellness for other chronic diseases (i.e., Cancer, Diabetes, etc.), with a background in clinical exercise physiology or cardiac nursing, behavior modification, epidemiology, patient education, and marketing. This Director must have specialized knowledge, clinical and educational expertise in patient and lay person education – educational design, development, standardization and implementation, related to primary and secondary prevention, health promotion and wellbeing.

This position coordinates customer and employer relations, marketing and sales specifically related to Hospital business strategies; coordinates corporate & community Health and Screening fairs, seminars and community outreach, monthly campaigns, lunch and learns, and other wellness interventions. Additionally, this position manages volunteer program coordinating efforts and maintaining volunteer program and compliance within the facility.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Previous patient facing patient care experience required (E.g., RN, etc)
