POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides treatments to patients by evaluating their function and applying appropriate treatments to improve or restore function. Leads interdisciplinary in servicing, community education, and clinical education of students. May be responsible for cross-site coverage.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy with a minimum of a B.S.
- Must hold a current state license in Physical Therapy.
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows based programs and Microsoft Office.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel between work sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluates patients and modifies treatments based on individual needs.
- Administers therapeutic exercises and physical agents.
- Educates patients and families in home exercise programs.
- Documents patient progress and adheres to department policies.
- Supervises affiliated students and attends continuing education courses.
