We are currently looking for a Full Time Pharmacy Technician I to join our Tribal Health Pharmacy Services C team located at the Chickasaw Nation Refill Center working 9:00AM-6:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
Summary:
Provides clerical, administrative and technical support to the Pharmacy Department.
Responsibilities:
* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types

- May augment staff in other areas as needed based on staffing and needs ratio in regularly assigned unit
* Maintain knowledge of and follow all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
* Maintains files, logs, and records
* Answers the phone, transfers calls, takes messages and screens calls per guidelines for areas served
* Participates in performance improvement activities to measure, assess and improve the quality of assigned work area
* Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
* Assists the pharmacist with filling and labeling of prescriptions and communicates with prescribers and their agents to obtain refill authorizations
* Checks for out-of-date drugs, puts orders away, and prepackages medications in accordance with Pharmacy policies
* All other duties as assigned
