WinnMed is seeking to hire a salaried full-time Athletic Trainer in our Rehab and Sports Medicine Department. This position is responsible for providing Athletic Training services to our local high school athletes. This includes weekly injury checks and providing event coverage to sporting events at the local high schools. Hours can vary each week, which will include night and some weekend coverage of sporting events. Athletic Trainers will be responsible for working alongside medical professionals, Athletic Directors, coaches and athletes to review medical conditions of athletes and discuss their treatment plan. Additional responsibilities include working as a part of a multidisciplinary team with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Cardiac Rehab in the clinic.
Requirements
- Graduate of an athletic training or pre-physical therapy curriculum with a NATA certification as a certified athletic trainer required
- Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field preferred
- Iowa Athletic Training license required
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Previous athletic training experience preferred
