Brookings Health System is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team and be part of the Brookings Health System mission: To provide high quality, compassionate, personalized health care.
Approximately 20 to 24 hours per week. This part time position maintains responsibility for ensuring medications are managed and administered according to state and federal regulations; Enhances patient care by educating patients and patient care providers while collaborating with Brookings Health System Staff; Evaluates and processes medication orders, monitors medication use, educates facility staff, interacts with physicians/clinicians, performs medication histories, performs discharge teaching, and completes consults on medication therapy. Maintains the highest level of customer service and confidentiality at all times. Scheduling includes a holiday and weekend rotation as well as taking call during the week if necessary.
Requirements:
- Pharmacy degree required; South Dakota pharmacy license required
- Previous experience with fostering a team approach to problem solving and diagnosing issues required
- Hospital experience preferred
Compensation:
- Starting at $50.86 per hour based on experience
