Mechanical Project Manager
Key Responsibilities:
•Management and coordination of project development and execution
•Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan, material management plan and integrated project schedule
•Project team management and development of team members (i.e. maintenance, operations, safety)
•Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution
•Manage and forecast project costs.
•Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements, plant engineering standards and equipment standards.
•Compliance with Process safety, ergonomics, MSHA, ISO, environmental agencies, applicable codes, and regulatory agencies
•Ensure projects comply with all applicable standards.
•Management of departmental record keeping and databases
Activities:
•Management and coordination of project development and execution including development of AFE's and evaluation of project's economics.
•Oversee management of change (MOC) process.
•Assist in performing root cause analysis's (RCA's).
•Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan, material management plan and integrated project schedule.
•Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution.
•Manage and forecast project costs.
•Participate in development and administration of capital plans.
•Project management, including cost accountability.
•Collaboration amongst various departments across the site, including operations, maintenance, and support groups.
•Prepare design, drawings & specification documents.
•Prepare bid/request documents, addendums & change orders for procurement phase.
•Direct interface with a variety of disciplined engineers.
•Coordinate and ensure projects comply with regulatory and code requirements.
•Project closure and accounting interface.
•Support project systems.
•Support ISO efforts.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Skill, Capability and Educational Requirements:
•B.S. Degree in Engineering, with five or more years of Mechanical experience, OR a B.S in Mechanical Engineering
•4 + years of experience in Project Management strongly preferred.
•Engineer in training certificate or professional engineering license preferred.
