Payroll Manager

Pikemann is looking for a Payroll Manager who can oversee all aspects of payroll and compliance. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to plan and execute payroll activities in a complex multi-state environment and to work with HR business partners and employees to implement and support compensation and benefit-related programs across the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll process for all customer companies, plan and update payroll initiatives and processes, support and coach HR team members with payroll responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Benefits Manager on the structure and processes for company worker's compensation programs
  • Perform periodic audits on payroll and compensation practices to ensure market competitiveness and compliance.
  • Lead the review and compilation of payroll data and timekeeping systems data from employees, managers, timecards, and records.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax fillings for federal and state entities.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll
  • 3+ years team leadership experience
  • 3+ years of experience in workers compensation practices
  • Understanding of Human Resources principles, knowledge and best practices in compensation benefit plan design and administration
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local rules, regulations and/or statutes related to compensation, benefits, and payroll
