Physical Therapist, Outpatient - Per Diem

POSITION SUMMARY:

Seeking a Physical Therapist to provide treatments to patients by evaluating function and selecting appropriate treatments to improve or restore function. This role involves participating in interdisciplinary approaches, in-service training, and community education, as well as clinical education of affiliating students.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy with a minimum of a B.S.
• Must hold a current license in Physical Therapy.

COMPETENCIES:

• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet search.
• Access to reliable transportation for travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluates patients based on departmental standards.
• Conducts and modifies evaluations based on the patient's symptoms and medical status.
• Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic exercises and physical agents.
• Educates patients/families in home exercise programs to maximize independent functional activity.
• Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines and department's policies and procedures.
• Performs all duties with proper body mechanics and safety to prevent injuries.
• Supervises affiliated students and attends continuing education courses.
