Opportunity Summary

The EAM Project Engineer will maintain and support Enterprise IBM Maximo Systems in power generation facilities, plan, develop, and execute plant specific training programs designed to maximize the effectiveness of Maximo operation, establish preventive maintenance schedules and procedures utilizing vendor supplied documentation and good judgment, and produce and conduct training courses both online and in person.

Here's a look at some of the things you'll be doing:

Manage user support requests through Maximo IT Conduct weekly meetings with multiple locations that utilize Maximo on-premise and in the cloud hosted environments to communicate best practices, give on-the-spot training and review issues and resolutions times Coordinate with team members to ensure tickets are being directed to appropriate personnel for resolution and to ensure tickets are being processed in a timely manner Troubleshoot Maximo software for both on-site and cloud deployed environments through direct URL access and through remote access. Must be able to navigate VPN and RDPs in multiple environments. Maintain security standards using password management and two factor authentication tools Load plant-specific assets, locations, inventory items, historical purchasing, work orders, and inventory transactional data into Maximo using SQL Server or Maximo Integration Framework (MIF). Implement purchasing and inventory control methods through configurations, workflow development and implementation, and security rules. Coordinate system development activities to establish priorities, resolve technical problems, and maintain standardized documentation Administer Maximo network through set up and deletion of users, maintenance of user security, and table administration Assist in support and training roles including presenting at conferences, writing quarterly articles for publication, developing and conducting webinars, and sharing knowledge with other team members on Maximo usage and techniques Recommend new procedures to improve Maximo usability at the plant level and overall workflow efficiency at the team level Develop and conduct training sessions (traditional classroom, face-to-face and hands-on demonstrations) that provide plant personnel with a thorough understanding of all aspects of Maximo Work with the EAM team to conduct implementations, training, migrations, and upgrades. Coordinate with sites to determine current and future needs and work with other team members to resolve all site requests. Enter all support tickets and hours through Maximo for IT using locations, assets, people, and service requests Why you're the perfect addition to our team (about you):

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent technical training knowledge and experience preferred. At least two years of experience in EAM development or IBM Maximo v7.5 or v7.6 desired. Experience in the development of technical documents and/or training materials required.

Ability to prioritize and triage custom support tickets and communicate status, completion time, and any training to mitigate future tickets to the clients in a professional and friendly manner Ability to train small to medium groups of users on software usage, both in a classroom and WebEx environment Ability to creatively troubleshoot issues and questions from both site staff and other EAM staff Excellent writing and analytical skills and an ability to communicate information in both formal and informal settings Preferred

Overall understanding of the interrelationships and coordination of purchasing, inventory control, and maintenance functions, and the ability to formulate and communicate thoughts and ideas developed in an engineering context into maintenance procedures Solid technical skills in Microsoft SQL and MS Excel. Prefer Maximo end-user training experience. Desired

Working knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic terminology Experience in configuring Maximo using Database Configuration, Application Designer, and Workflow Designer Experience with creating and modifying BIRT reports Knowledge of Maximo add-on modules such as Oil & Gas, Scheduler, Calibration, AnyWhere, etc. Experience in writing automation scripting using jython/python. Experience in Conditional Expression Manager, System Properties, Domains, Actions, Roles, Escalations, Cron Task Setup, Attached Documents Configuration and Logging. Advanced knowledge of reporting tools such as Cognos Reports, PowerBI etc.

Worked within existing practices and procedures, recommending changes and revisions to existing procedures and contributing to the development of new concepts, performing duties under minimum supervision. Made decisions within policy constraints. Informally made recommendations concerning long-range planning.

Contacts are normally made with others inside and outside the company, including plant operators and supervisors at all levels of responsibility as well as immediate associates and own supervisor. Act as representative of NAES headquarters during visits to plant sites that involve close interactions with many new company employees. Act as liaison between Project Manager and on-site plant management staff.

Compensation

The initial annual compensation for this position will range from $99,200 - $110,000 based on skills and experience.
