Department Description
The Moffitt Long Operating Room (OR) consists of 28 surgical suites. Our primary focus is tertiary/quaternary surgical care using team based staffing. Our complex surgery uses the most advanced technology, including hybrid suites and robotic surgery. Services include but are not limited to: General Surgery, Urology, Transplant, Cardiac, Vascular, Thoracic, OHNS, OMFS, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in scrubbing and circulating Neurosurgery cases, including Neurovascular (Open and Intraop angiography), Functional, Peripheral nerve and Neurooncological specialties.
- 2-3 years Adult Operating Room (OR) RN clinical experience
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
- Proficiency in scrubbing surgical procedures
- Proficiency in circulating duties
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
- Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and under pressure.
- Basic computer skills and general PC knowledge.

- BSN degree
- Specialty Certification - CNOR
License/Certification
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
