My client is an industry leader in the manufacturing and supply of ground support equipment to global commercial and military customers and end users.
We are seeking a senior electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and direction for the engineering team's execution of development and sustainment programs.

  • Oversee all technical aspects of the military product lifecycle, from technology identification and exploration to specification development and concept design, through support to production challenges and after-sales technical support.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the path to achieve technical compliance with developed solutions for customer specifications and communicate status to the program team.
  • Develop, Manage, and Execute Product and Technology Roadmap.
  • Partner with the Engineering Manager to identify and allocate resources necessary to execute internal and customer-funded product development activities.
  • Collaborate with the business development team and customer accounts to understand future requirements and challenges.
  • Develop and Manage the R&D budget and collaborate with the Engineering Manager to obtain the allocation of resources to support the execution.
  • Identify and understand technology related to military ground support equipment.
  • Drive engineering resources to develop products that are compliant with the technical requirements of a customers specifications.
  • Support bid and proposal activities, technical volumes, and completing product compliance matrices.
  • Identify technical risks in customer requests for proposal (RFP) documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to identify internal capability gaps in the engineering team and technological infrastructure. Support the hiring process to help fill gaps in resources and identify infrastructure solutions.
Desired Experience and Background:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Software engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of engineering and product development experience, preferably in the military and aerospace ground support equipment segment, emphasizing power and electrical engineering applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of power architectures and topologies in range of kilowatts of power, with a strong understanding of diverse engineering principles, including mechanics, software, hydraulics, and electrical systems, among others.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
