About Pine Plains Veterinary Hospital
Pine Plains Veterinary Associates has been dedicated to serving the needs of pets and their owners in Dutchess County, New York, since 1932. The scope of our practice, and the training and compassion of our staff, is second to none. We understand that the good health of your animals is important to you and your family. We are committed to providing the highest quality veterinary care.
Pine Plains Veterinary Associates was founded by Dr. Edward Sadler, who opened the practice on Farview Avenue in Pine Plains in 1932. His patients were primarily farm animals, but Dr. Sadler also treated pets in a small clinic. The practice moved to its present location at the corner of Church Street and Farview Avenue in 1951.
As the reputation of Pine Plains Veterinary Associates continued to grow, so did the clinic itself. Additions were made to the building in 1971 and 1981. A major renovation to the building was completed in 1994, which included a large reception area, new exam rooms, a manager's office, and a kennel area with a separate heating and air conditioning system. This renovation marked a change from a predominately farm animal practice to a companion animal-oriented practice.
Our more recent improvements include the addition of digital radiographic equipment, blood analyzing laboratory tools, an advanced surgical monitoring system, IV pumps, and much more. Today, our clients and patients are served in a modern hospital facility with experienced veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, and enthusiastic, courteous staff to help all animals.
We're proud of our detailed attention to veterinary care. We know that our clients expect and deserve our very best. This means you will be greeted by a friendly and welcoming reception staff every time you visit our facility. Our doctors and veterinary technicians understand that your pet not only deserves the best medical care, but also that your concerns, questions and opinions require our full attention. We will provide that.
We do not charge a premium for being the best at what we do. Pine Plains Veterinary Associates' stated mission is: "Personal service with quality care at a reasonable price." We simply would not be good at what we do, nor would we live up to our calling of improving the health of animals, if we priced our services beyond the reach of the pet owners.

  • New York State Veterinary Board License - must be in good standing, prior to start date
