BIM TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT

Alterman, Inc. has an opening for the position of BIM Technician Assistant. The BIM Technician Assistant is an entry-level role whose primary responsibilities will be providing support and services to the Pre-Construction and Project Support team. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong proficiency in visualizing the constructability of various projects.

Job Duties andResponsibilities:

Provide BIM / CAD design and modelingsupport. We provide in-house training. Maintain all internal and external project files on the network andProcore. Performs tasks such as file archiving and uploading, laser engraving, generating QR-codes, scanning and printing labels, and large format drawings. Organize, track, and maintain department files, drawings, materials, documents, andcorrespondence. Assist BIM project team with contentcreation. Assist with software deployment, documentation, andtroubleshooting. Follow department standards, methods, and best practices, both written andoral. Performs other duties, tasks and special projects asassigned. Qualifications:

Internship or minimum 6 months related work experiencepreferred. Associates degree in a related area of studypreferred. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines. Team player with an ability to work independently whenrequired. Ability to quickly learn and utilize company-specific techniques, standards, andprocedures. Excellentverbal,writteninterpersonalcommunicationandcustomerserviceskills. Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, follow through and meetdeadlines. Proficient computer skills with all basic office programs (Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook) and the ability to learn and use related software and systems are required. Prior experience in the construction industry is aplus. Experience using Procure is preferred but notrequired.
