Raritan Bay Area YMCA

is currently accepting applications/resumes for a

Program Director for our B3 Middle School Aftercare Program.

This program is a grant-funded program serving students attending 6th through 9th grades at 3 sites within Perth Amboy and is funded by the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Program.

The

RBAYMCA

has served the ever-evolving needs of our community since 1912. We are located just 5 miles west of New York City in the Waterfront City of Perth Amboy. The YMCA is dedicated to building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities through programs that develop the values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith. We devotedly serve over 6,000 community participants and families in our community building initiatives.

The

B3

Program Director

is responsible for all aspects of managing and implementing a high-quality educational program that includes Aftercare, Saturday Teen Nights, and Summer Camp. The

B3 Program Director

must also possess data base management and reporting skills; show proficiency in the use of Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; the ability to coach staff on related procedures and issues as needed; as well as possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, team orientation and collaborative style of management, strong problem-solving skills, and detail orientation.

The

B3 Program Director

will embrace the YMCA core values of Respect, Honesty, Responsibility, Faith, and Caring; and must demonstrate core competencies in the area of Mission Advancement, Collaboration, Operational Effectiveness and Personal Growth.

Hours:

must be available to work a full-time schedule Monday-Friday, including after school program hours, occasional Saturdays, summer school programming, and other times as requested or required to oversee the program.

Requirements

Three (3) years of supervising school-based programs with a primary responsibility for operations, budget management and staff supervision Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field, preferably in any field related to children or business Bilingual in Spanish preferred Strong Administrative skills Computer proficiency
