JOB SUMMARY

An independent, non-profit healthcare system is seeking an Orthopedic RN with knowledge of current nursing practices to provide premier, comprehensive patient care. Our Advanced Community Healthcare System(TM) offers higher acuity care and outstanding Centers of Excellence. Orthopedic RNs assist with the implementation of medical plans, direct patient care, and education. This position requires minimal supervision and a commitment to excellence in the profession.

  • WORK SCHEDULE: 12 Hour Day

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strategies to attain expected outcomes and attain knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
  • Evaluate patients' progress toward outcomes and ensure practices are ethical and financially responsible.
  • Introduce patient teaching to promote health and safety.
  • Integrate evidence and research finding into practice.
  • Contribute to quality nursing practice and shared decision making (SDM) and demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, the inter-professional team, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
  • Use appropriate resources to plan and provide nursing services that are safe and effective.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • New RNs will be placed into the RN Residency Program.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
