Responsibilities:
- Directs production team to assure on-time production and/or delivery. Ensure customer expectations are met
- Supervise, train, and motivate staff
- Support production schedule and assigns daily work to machine operators on both the day and night shift; manage work flow; identify issues and recommend solution
- Monitor all aspects of safety
- Manage preventative maintenance program for all machinery and ensure all operators have necessary tooling
- Hire, train, develop, and evaluate employees. Promptly address all employee concerns/issues
- Responsible for having machines and/or equipment kept in good working order
- Develop employees through ongoing training programs
Qualifications:
- 10-15+ years hands-on machining experience, wire EDM, CNC Milling, tool design, and machine troubleshooting and repair
- Minimum 5 years supervising a modern machine shop preferred
- This is a hands-on working supervisor position with ability to lead in fast pace job shop environment
- Skills in operating wire EDM and CNC Milling, program, setup, and troubleshooting
- Mastercam and Esprit experience is a plus
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, and shop mathematics
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products - Word and Excel
