As an Operating Room General Surgery Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing direct nursing care and promoting safety during operative and other invasive procedures. Responsibilities
- Assess and provide individualized care to patients
- Review charts for completeness and adhere to documentation protocols
- Prepare the operating room for surgery and ensure equipment is in working order
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist the surgical team in maintaining sterility
Qualifications
- Valid RN license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years' experience as Operating Room Nurse
- Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate degree required, BSN preferred
