Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor for our 3rd shift operations. This position oversees production lines in the manufacturing Plant under the supervision of the Production Manager and Director of Manufacturing to ensure product quality and delivery to distribution. It is responsible for directly supervising production associates and working closely with all other departments in the manufacturing plant, including maintenance, sanitation, raw materials, and shipping. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to operational excellence, and the ability to problem-solve in as fast-paced environment.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ensuring and maintaining a safe work environment through compliance with Company, Local, State, and Federal mandates or programs; enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees; conduct safety training sessions and investigations into any accidents or incidents.
  • Demonstrates support for Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensures adherence to all quality requirements, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), etc.
  • Monitors product quality: Ensures products meet quality standards by conducting regular inspections, implementing quality control measures, and addressing deviations from specifications.
  • Provide leadership, training, and coaching with associates to create a culture of inclusion and engagement.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Executes and maintains records for all production phases relative to safety, food safety, key performance indicators, and order completion.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring process steps, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points, and initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Responsible for obtaining positive results on production indicators such as efficiency, efficacy, labor efficiency, waste, and production downtime.
  • Ensures equipment operation by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • LEAN manufacturing culture: Create a Continuous Improvement environment by improving products and processes with the objective of reducing waste while striving for efficiency and profitability.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following 5's program. Directs personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as industrial engineering, manufacturing, or business administration) or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment for third shift
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
