Our client is looking to hire a Design Engineer for their team out of Cleveland! Our client is a leader in manufacturing industrial gears and gear drives and has been in business for over 135 years.
The Design Engineer will be responsible for the custom design of gearing products.
Qualified Candidates will need to have a strong background of design engineering within manufacturing.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Gear tooth geometry analysis and ratings.
- Shaft deflection analysis.
- Bearing life analysis and selection.
- Lubrication system design.
- Housing design.
- Gear drive layout.
- Assembly and testing notes.
- Review and approve drawings from designer detailers for release to the shop.
- Enter requisition text for major raw material items into BaaN system for purchase.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years design experience (GEARING INDUSTRY PREFERED)
- 3-D modeling experience, Solid Works experience a plus.
- Able to read and understand machine drawings.
- BaaN (ERP System) experience a plus.
- Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative thinker and problem solver.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Participate in H&S Safety programs.
- Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
