Key Duties

  • Lead New Employee Onboarding Training Program
    • Coordinate onboarding schedules with HR & Hiring Manager(s)
    • Facilitate Quality, Safety, and HR Training following onboarding activity schedule
    • Evaluate learning progress / provide support / escalation when required
    • Track new employee onboarding in the Learning Management System(LMS)
  • Coordinate annual compliance training for all site employees
    • Maintain annual compliance training schedule
    • Coordinate training times between department and staff
    • Track and report site progress towards annual compliance training
  • Support the Site and the UNC Workforce Development team in meeting department initiatives
    • Develop learning content that supports UNC Workforce Development
    • Work with technical writers, curriculum developers, training managers
      • Design and produce mini-how-to videos
      • Develop visual aids
  • Provide support for both Learning management and document management systems
    • Provide user training
    • Produce usage reports
    • Monitor system / maintain system(s) integrity
  • Assist training manager in meeting site and department objectives
    • Support 3rd party workforce agencies (i.e. Veryable)
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Experience

  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering training material
  • Experience working in food manufacturing or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience using Learning Management and Document Management Systems (LMS / DMS)

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • OSHA, ISO22000, Code of Federal Regulations

Pay: $65,000 - $75,000/Year*

*The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
