6:45am-3:15pm w/call rotation.
JOB SUMMARY:
Operates and maintains all X-Ray and hemodynamic equipment in the Cath Lab. Provides direct care to surgical patients with primary emphasis on the intra-operative period and responsibility for pre-operative assessment and post-operative evaluation while applying age specific needs in the assessment, treatment and/or care of patient. Possesses substantial knowledge, judgment and skill based upon the principles of the biological, psychological and social sciences. Responsible for the general functioning of the Cath Lab and its necessary supplies and equipment.
Job Specific:

  • Accurate documentation and charging. (EF)
  • Critically thinks and anticipates the needs of the patient and the surgeon. (EF)
  • Assists with the orientation of new personnel. (EF)
  • Takes call as assigned . (EF)
  • Cross trained to monitor, circulate, scrub and operate all cath lab equipment. (EF)

    • Temporary pacemaker
    • Closure devices
    • Radi wire ( FFR )
    • Filter wire
    • Thrombectomy catheters
  • Participates in the safety management and infection control programs. (EF)
Hospital:
  • Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
  • Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
  • Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital's Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
  • Performs within his/her professional Scope of Practice at all times.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
EXPERIENCE
Preferred : 1 year as a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
Special Skills and Abilities:
Required: Must pass an approved ACLS class with in one year of hire date.
Preferred: 1 year of previous Cath Lab or Special Procedure experience preferred.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Required: Currently registered with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ) and the TDH (Texas Department of Health).
