The Opportunity We are hiring an AI Solutions Engineer with a passion for using AI to solve real-world problems. You'll play a critical role in advancing both our internal and customer-facing AI initiatives. As an expert who keeps up with the rapid evolution of AI, you'll be central to guiding our company-wide AI strategies and execution, ensuring that Canopy remains a leader in AI applications within the industry. Collaborating closely with other developers, product managers, QA engineers, and members of other organizations, you'll ensure our AI implementations are robust, efficient, and aligned with our strategic goals. We value proactive problem-solving and adherence to best practices, and you'll be key in steering our teams towards AI excellence. What You'll Do: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement AI solutions that address key business challenges. Utilize and fine-tune existing large language models to meet Canopy's specific needs, enhancing our products and internal processes. Stay updated on the latest AI trends and technologies, applying this knowledge to keep Canopy at the cutting edge of AI applications. Champion the integration of AI tools and frameworks, facilitating their adoption across the organization. Measure and report on the effectiveness of AI implementations, using insights to drive continuous improvement. Your Skills Include: Minimum of 5 years of experience in programming languages relevant to AI, such as Python or Java. Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration and understanding across teams, while showing mutual respect for others’ opinions. Solid understanding of AI and basic machine learning concepts, with a focus on leveraging and fine-tuning existing models, particularly LLMs. Familiarity with OpenAI/Anthropic SDKs/APIs, LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases. A commitment to continuous learning and staying on top of the latest developments in AI technology. Passion for building innovative, scalable solutions that have real customer impact. Bonus Skills: Experience with custom ML models and/or open source LLMs Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their use in deploying AI solutions. Interviewing @ Canopy: We know application processes can be a little stressful. Here’s are the stages of a typical interview process: Once your application is received, we will review it and get back to you if we feel like it’s a mutual fit! 20 minute phone call with the People Team 60 minute video technical interview with the Hiring Manager
