Responsible for providing high quality direct patient care and assisting providers and other clinical staff with patient care and other clinical and administrative duties in a professional manner. Ability to competently and skillfully perform all clinical and clerical functions including, but not limited to: vital signs, patient interview, electronic documentation, screening tools, lab/specimen prep, point of care collection and processing, filing, processing records, answering phones, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments and processing referrals. Must provide age-appropriate care in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the patient served.Advocare, LLC is a partnership of the top doctors in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including pediatricians, family practice and specialist. As part of the team, you'll work side-by-side with forward-thinking professionals who strive to provide the highest quality medical care by meeting and exceeding standards for clinical outcomes while delivering exceptional patient service in an evolving healthcare environment.Essential Functions:Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks and clinical duties including but not limited to obtaining and recording patient medical histories, receiving and directing phone calls, ensuring successful completion of all formsMaintaining medical supplies inventory and performing preventive maintenance to keep the medical equipment operatingPreparing patients for examination by performing physical tests, take vitals, reporting patient history summaryPerform procedures such as EKG's and PFT's Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinationsCounseling patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about the treatmentDelivering attention, compassionate support, and assistance to patients and familiesRevenue cycle managementEnsuring compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPPA, OSHA, etc.Aides staff, physicians, and other faculty as neededPerforms additional job-related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policiesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProficient in administrative tasksMust be highly organized and detail-oriented; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibilityFamiliarity with medical terminology and digital record systemsMust be able to perform procedures such as EKG's and PFT'sAbility to communicate effectively and verbalize ideasProven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrates the highest level of customer/client service and responseDemonstrates ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredOne year of prior experience in a medical setting preferred
