Job Summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Surgical Administration. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing advanced patient care services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with specialized health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and collection of clinical data.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, including ordering diagnostic tests and consultations as needed.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to provide family-centered care.
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records, including coding and billing information.
  • Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts, ensuring the smooth flow of patient processing, treatment, and discharge.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
  • Successful completion of ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • Ability to quickly master computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be HIPAA compliant at all times.
