Overview: In partnership with a pioneering public, college-prep, boarding school committed to preparing students academically, socially, and emotionally for success in and beyond college, we are seeking a Night-Time Resident Advisor. This vital role ensures a safe and nurturing environment during nighttime hours, supporting students' personal safety, health care, mental health needs, and morning routines. Key Responsibilities: * Student Support: Provide nurturing care to students, ensuring their safety, health, and well-being throughout the night and into the morning hours. * Community Values: Model and teach the school's core values, encouraging healthy lifestyle routines and social skills among students. * Emergency Response: Handle emergencies and student issues during nighttime and morning hours, maintaining a secure environment. * Facility Management: Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of residence halls, ensuring a clean and orderly living space for students. * Engagement & Motivation: Lead engaging morning activities, setting a positive tone for the day, and motivating students to achieve their daily goals. * Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents, administrators, and teaching staff regarding student behaviors and trends. Qualifications: * Commitment: Strong alignment with the mission of preparing underserved communities for college success. * Education: Associate's degree in social sciences or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. * Experience: 1-2 years of experience in adolescent development, residential education, or similar fields; 2-3 years preferred. * Skills: Demonstrated ability to build a positive culture, effective decision-making, goal setting, and enthusiasm for student potential. * Attributes: Excellent listening skills, approachability, and the ability to motivate and inspire students daily.
