You, the Head of People Operations, are someone who is agile and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven, entrepreneurial environment. We are at a time in the organization where we have strong directors and leadership across talent acquisition, employee experience, and HR/IT/Admin. Now, it’s time to bring it all together and build the foundation for future operational excellence. You will report into the CEO and work alongside the executive leadership team to draft and implement the organization’s staffing and operations budget, as well as generate key metrics for organizational growth: eSat, time to billable, voluntary churn, etc. Your efforts will help shape the future of our organization. This role is a means to make a difference: you will engage in some of our highest-priority organizational efforts, and you will convert ideas into tangible results. Roles and Responsibilities: Consistent demonstration of exceptional leadership qualities, including, but not limited to the ability to attract and retain the best team, foster a culture of high performance, lead with integrity, humility, accountability, and courage, and set a clear vision to energize teams towards the future. Uphold company values through transparency, accountability, innovation, integrity, and teamwork. Provide operational leadership and hands-on contributions in core human resource-related functions, such as employee experience, benefits, employee relations, documentation, etc. Ensure equitable, transparent, and competitive compensation and benefits programs which incentivize and reward performance. Oversee performance management/annual review plans and processes. Maintain comprehensive approach for dealing with employee feedback or concerns. Serve as a coach and mentor to staff, as appropriate, to improve performance. Conduct investigations when employee issues or concerns arise. Partner with leadership team, and/or legal counsel to resolve employee issues fairly, consistently, and expeditiously. Drive organizational effectiveness and change management, partnering to support new initiatives, significant policy changes, process improvements, adoption of new tools, and other key activities. Work with our legal/compliance and finance teams to oversee legal and regulatory topics that relate to People Operations. Ensure HR operational processes stay current with all applicable legal obligations and address any compliance and non-compliance matters in a timely and effective manner. Design, implement, & continuously improve people policies & procedures that align with our values, culture, & organizational goals. Drive and maximize business effectiveness through optimum resource alignment (people, process, structure) and analysis of business/talent/HR programs. Key Initiatives for Next 12 Months: Revised career mapping across operational roles Roll out of bi-annual compensation planning Improved infrastructure around performance management and reviews Development of improved talent management and development from junior to senior roles Requirements: 10+ years of relevant work experience (e.g., People Ops, HR, Talent & Talent Management etc.), in the Performance Marketing Agency space Proven track record of setting ambitious yet achievable organizational goals and ability to drive results, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes aligned with the company's strategic priorities Proven track record of managing competing deadlines and exercising good judgment in prioritizing tasks Strong leadership qualities. You are decisive, level-headed, and can handle difficult conversations Demonstrated knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to HR operations. Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and to influence confidently, effectively, and collaboratively. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data. Superb interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships among staff and key stakeholders. Strategic thinker who is able to think quickly on feet, innovate and improvise Experience supporting HR operations and systems in the US, Canada, Mexico and EMEA Experience in scaling an organization as Head of People or in a similar capacity Expertise in compensation benchmarking is a plus Expertise in learning and development is a plus What We Offer: We have a set living wage at Directive.
