Direct Caregiver (Care Partner) - Part-time (2nd Shift)

Hours: 24 hours per week Schedule: 2nd Shift | 3 pm - 11pm Location | Department: Meadowlark Retirement Village | Assisted Living What you'll do The Care Partner provides care to the Elders living in the Meadowlark household. This includes ADL completion, food preparation, companionship, serving and cleanup of all meals and snacks, laundry, and housekeeping. Elder Care * Provide ADL (activities of daily living) support * Plan, lead, support, and participate in meaningful activities * Provide exercises as assigned, according to service plan * Assist in moving, positioning, and transporting Elders * Assist with the application of prosthetic and supportive devices * Prepare and serve breakfast and provide snacks Quality * Measure and record vital signs * Properly and safely store medications received from the pharmacy * Document per organization policy * Collaborate with team to discuss Elders' needs, and progress in identifying/correcting problems * Observe, monitor and report to nurse any change in condition * Assure Elder calls for assistance are answered promptly Housekeeping * Keep all areas of the home clean, performing routine housekeeping duties * Make beds and change bed linens * Launder clothing, linen, and other articles * Clean up after lunch and dinner time meals. What it takes * High school diploma * Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred * CPR certification preferred * Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to a minimum of 50 lbs.
