*Job description*

Franciscan Children's Hospital is looking for a full-time psychologist to join our team in Brighton, MA. We are a dynamic and fast-growing company that is seeking an individual who is passionate about psychology and working with children. The ideal candidate will have experience with working with children and be able to work independently. We are looking for someone who is flexible, has a sense of humor, and is willing to learn.

*Responsibilities:*

Pediatric Neuropsychologist works exclusively in a pediatric outpatient environment, evaluating the cognitive, developmental, behavioral, emotional, and social deficits and academic challenges of children and adolescents of varied age and diagnoses. Candidate must be able to administer, score, and interpret a wide variety of tests and provide clear feedback to families and referral sources. Other responsibilities may include supervision of doctoral interns and/or practicum students, department and hospital wide consultations as needed, training opportunities, department programming, and case presentations.

* Conduct comprehensive interviews to ascertain reason for referral, patient concerns, medical & psychosocial history. Determine the necessity for additional evaluation & plan assessment tools.
* Select, administer, and score neuropsychological, developmental, and psychological test measures.
* Interpret assessment results based on understanding of brain-behavior relationships using available evidence-based approaches to cognitive development and current research.
* Prepare integrated neuropsychological reports using data from tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct observations, and interviews.
* Report and provide recommendations for accommodation or remediation of deficient skills.
* Provide interpretative feedback to parents, primary caregivers, or providers.
* Participate in assessment seminars and/or other trainings as needed.
* Provide education and/or short-term counseling to select families or individuals for effecting changes in behavior, emotions, motivation and social issues as needed.
* Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and interdisciplinary staff meetings as needed to discuss and evaluate the diagnoses and treatment/management of patients and formulate treatment plans.
* Maximize productivity efficiency while maintaining documentation and reporting standards, including progress note entry into Electronic Health Record, initiates corrective action as necessary
* Ensure the provision of high-quality clinical services to patients, maintaining age-appropriate standards of care to children up to age 21 and their families.
* Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, accepted standards of licensing bodies, and accrediting agencies. Keep associated continuing education records and documentation as required.

*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE*

* Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA/CPA-approved program (PsyD or PhD)
* APA/CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship with supervised experience in clinical neuropsychology
* Minimum of two-years postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology, including provision of direct assessment and intervention services to children and families in a pediatric behavioral health setting
* Board certification or eligibility preferred
* Experience supervising trainees strongly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,848.37 - $126,000.00 per year
