Payroll Analyst

Reporting to the Director, Payroll & HR Compliance, this position is the lead payroll analyst within our North America Danone Business Service (ONE DBS) Center, which provides support to approximately 6,500 employees across the United States and Canada. With limited supervision, the incumbent's primary responsibility will be to execute the payroll duties for our U.S. manufacturing locations. This individual will partner closely with cross-functional parties to develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve the effectiveness of payroll operations. This role can be based out of White Plains, NY, Broomfield, CO, or a manufacturing facili Primary Responsibilities: * Process bi-weekly and weekly payroll for manufacturing sites or other pay groups assigned * Audit and balance assigned payrolls in a timely manner * Serve as Point of Contact for all manufacturing HR Representatives related to assigned payrolls * Address employee and HR questions concerning pay or payroll deductions using the required ticketing system (Employee Services Genie) or as otherwise directed * Verify local HR Representatives and/or managers have approved timecards prior to payroll commit * Demonstrate knowledge of all pay policies within assigned pay groups, including various union agreements, in order to manage error identification and resolution related to payroll and timekeeping system * Provide training to local HR Representatives as required * Timely validate employee and HR change requests are completed correctly * Maintain payroll internal controls; ensuring proper procedures, policies, and rules are applied to payroll activities * Liaise with Benefits department regarding LOA, 401k or other benefit program uploads for assigned payrolls * Manage reporting, reconciliation and auditing of employee wages, payroll taxes, benefit deductions, garnishments and other payments assigned business units in collaboration with various groups including benefits, compensation, accounting and internal/external auditors * Load hours from time & attendance into the payroll system * Process manual checks or wire payments as required * Process wage attachments and garnishments * Process calculations for overtime or other shift premiums * Process Union Dues, Health & Welfare payments and Life Insurance as directed * Record Wages for W-2 Purposes and assist with W-2 distribution as required * Assist with mid-year and year-end tax processing for assigned pay groups * Provide cross-functional support on special projects and requests as assigned * Proactively identify continuous improvement efforts that improve the effectiveness of payroll operations. * Other duties and special projects as assigned You have a high school diploma required; college education preferred You have at least 3 years of payroll administration and high-volume, complex payroll processing experience required You have strong working understanding of payroll concepts and payroll accounting required You have prior experience supporting union and manufacturing payrolls required You have Ceridian Dayforce time and attendance systems experience preferred You have payroll system implementation project experience helpful You have the ability to handle, produce and maintain confidential information You have the ability to accurately interpret and apply policies, procedures and laws related to payroll activities You have proven ability to work within tight deadlines as well as successfully prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment You have excellent data entry skills You have superior analytical skills and attention to detail You have strong computer skills and the ability to learn and manage new systems You have strong basic math skills You have impeccable customer service and communication skills with the ability to understand, prioritize, diagnose and resolve issues timely You ave the ability to collaborate with peers to identify process improvements You are proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word The base compensation range for this position is $26.00-30.00/hour commensurate with experience.
