Marketing Coordinator Reports to Director of Sales & Marketing

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating marketing campaigns for physical and digital products. The Marketing Coordinator works with cross-functional teams to develop marketing strategies, create compelling product content, and execute product launches.

This position focuses on our direct-to-consumer model and involves building and coordinating campaigns that will run to our email list, Facebook ads, Google Ads and more. The Marketing Coordinator will brainstorm new ways to promote our vast library of content, write compelling copy, and manage requests to our internal supporting teams who will create image and video ad assets. The Marketing Coordinator reviews analytics for these campaigns to find new opportunities to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Write compelling marketing headlines and text to sell books, online membership, and other Word on Fire Initiatives
  • Assist with ideation, management, and execution of projects and campaigns to produce physical products such as orientation materials, new merchandise for members, flyers, postcards, direct mail pieces, etc.
  • Attend weekly marketing and interdepartmental meetings
  • Set up online sales pages for books and both digital and physical products based on templates using a drag-and-drop page builder
  • Write copy for product marketing emails, social media posts, ads, and direct mail pieces
  • Track marketing campaign statuses and tasks in project management software
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to request and acquire marketing assets
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize marketing efforts
  • Provide support for conferences, events, and other marketing initiatives as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Highly creative and driven to explore new marketing trends and ideas

  • Strong copywriting and communication skills; an ability to develop a deep understanding of the Word on Fire brand and voice to be reflected in marketing copy

  • Ability to quickly learn new technical skills

  • Commitment to the mission of Word on Fire

  • Team player and excellent communicator

  • Ability to manage complex projects involving dozens of moving pieces across various departments

  • Strong attention to detail, especially with textual content

Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Bishop Barron, Word on Fire, the Bible, Catechism of the Catholic Church , and magisterial teachings of the Catholic Church

  • Knowledge of online marketing trends

  • An appreciation for the beauty and dignity of the Word on Fire brand

  • Basic knowledge of CSS/HTML would be helpful though not required
