Job Purpose:

The System Administrator I role is to bridge the gap between Technical Support Specialists and the Engineering and Architecture teams. This position is a part of the Frontline Support team and reports to the Director, Support Services serving as an escalation point for the Technical Support Specialists while still assisting in call and/or ticket volume. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards. This role may also participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

Duties: Be customer-focused, with intention toward delivery of exceptional customer support and service. Create/Disable/Modify Active Directory accounts - including Users and Computers - as part of daily routine. Adhere to and uphold security posture of the organization; escalate immediately if unsure. Provide analysis and support (triage: escalating issues to higher levels of support when/as required) of IT systems that includes Windows desktops, LAN, phone systems, and other related technology as determined by the business and in compliance with established IT standards and protocols. Investigate, research, isolate and resolve routine and non-routine software and hardware problems of computer, networking, and other related technologies through standard troubleshooting procedures. Assist in software releases and roll-outs according to Change Management best practices by testing to ensure that the systems work as expected as well as performing release and roll-out functionality Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of end user devices, and other IT equipment Manage and maintain the knowledge base by reviewing and approving new documents as well as reviewing and retiring old/outdated documents. Coordinate with vendor support to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software Act as an escalation point for advanced or difficult help requests. Contribute to Root Cause Analysis by evaluating documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems. Alert management to emerging trends in incidents. Managing telecom vendor escalation to ensure maximum uptime for all centers Recommend operational, configuration, or other procedures Advanced AD/Exchange account maintenance and configuration. Access/Maintain subset of servers under the direction of senior IT members. Perform any other functions as required by management. Qualifications and Education Requirements

Associates degree in computer science/information technology, industry certification (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.), 3 years' industry experience; or, equivalent combination education, certification and experience One+ year experience Windows Server technologies Able to achieve two (2) relevant certifications to the organization such as:

Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA)

Windows Server Admin Fundamentals Windows OS Fundamentals Networking Fundamentals

Citrix Certified Associate ITILv4 Foundations CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+, Server+) Ivanti

Ability to work a flexible schedule (including overtime, and weekends), as necessary. Other Desired Skills
